Are Big-Name intakes really worth all the extra money? I'm in the market for a replacement intake for my stock 95 M3. I've searched everywhere and have found huge differences in price, for what seems to be the same intakes. The guys from turner, AA, dinan, etc. all have intakes that are about $300. I was doing some searching on ebay, and found intakes for around $60. I'm a person who believes in that "you get what you pay for", but it seems to me that this could be an exception. I want to know from you guys who have any intakes, if it's really worth spending $250 more on a big-name intake rather than a cheap-ol one from ebay.

i bought a generic and made a heatshield. it works good, and i dont think the difference would be that much different than the expensive ones, because they are pretty much the exact same thing when you look at it, with the exception of the filter quality. if you have the money to spend, then go for it.

I bought a Generic "dinan stage 2" replica for 50 bux and it is insane!!! it my not be made out of Carbon Fiber, but i bet it works just as good as those $300 ones... Its perfect too, it dips right down above the driver side wheel well, you just have to move your horn but its got a perfect little spot for it to suck up air without any heat from the motor. Best 50 bux ive spent on the car even though its "cheap ebay crap" ![]()
