Exhaust??

I purchased the Dinan exhaust when i did all my other upgrades. I am now sick of how quiet the car is and i want to make it a little louder. I know that Dado has a Brullen exhaust and his car sounds sick. Do they make a full catback from Brullen for the E46 330? The other exhaust i was thinking about is a Active Autowerk catback. That is supposed to dyno 27 more hp at the rear wheels. Can i get some feedback guys....i am a little lost. Thanks!

I have an AA exhaust and its amazing, performance and sound. I don't think though you'll see 27 at the wheels, thats a lot from an exhaust. They claimed 12 on mine, i'd guess in reality I got like 4-6 at wheels.

I agree, an exhaust isn't going to make you just short of 30hp at the wheel. that's a very optomistic number even for AA.

is it possible that you were reading 27hp at the wheel in combination with a cold air intake and software?

I've heard the AA only on E36's so I can't really comment.

I use a rogue in my car E36 also, I've also heard and ridden in an E46 with a Rogue in that as well (330ci) and it was very impressive.

Performance is really nothing special since you'll never see a true jump in numbers. Shop more for sound and looks then for performance.

After my experience with my AA its the only exhaust I see myself purchasing in the future, it looks and sounds great. Totally worth the investment.

For the most part no matter what exhaust you get, it will be for Aesthetics and not for performance... you see only small gains with exhaust. I have Remus and love the sound.

About how loud would you say the active autowerk exhaust is? My dinan one is only a little louder than stock. I want a little more sound....but not a lot.

I've got the AA Exhaust System on my 330i and it has a deeper, but still quiet tone at idle. However, at wide open throttle, the exhaust really opens up and sounds mean. It's the perfect mix for a sedan driver like me: Quiet when I want to drive casually, but aggressive when I'm in a performance mood.

It did take a long time to break-in, though.

yeah it sounds like a lot but it goes a lot faster than you'd think... and its a blast to hear the different sound stages the exhaust goes through

I only mess with Eisnenmann...I had a Dinan and then I upgraded to an Eisenmann 70mm quad with reg tips. It is absolutely sick...I wouldnt do anything else...and the quad makes it somewhat more unique

Supersprint's the BEST brand. It's the most expensive, but hey it's you gotta pay what you gotta pay.
