| My S0-3's have lasted a total of 36XX miles and 2 months. But then again..that is with a large volume of throttle steering, powerslides, various other tire warming exercises . Here is my list of tires for the summer: 1. Bridgestone S0-3(Grip in the summer is unbelievable) 2. Michelin Pilot Sports 3. BFGoodrich Comp T/A's 4. Yokohama AVS Sports 5. Toyo T1-S 6. Yokohama ES100(Can't beat the price for the quality) Wes

| hey wes thanks for ur reply...i'm wondeirng the biggest difference between the so-3's and the so-2's... i understand that the so-3's have something call the pole position..i dunno what that is... also i'm currently running 235/40 in front and 255/35 for the rear for my 18's ACS ...do you think i should use the same set up ? |

| So-3s and So-2s, difference is So-2s is a softer compound so that tire will burn faster. Grip is about the same, but I feel So2s are better. Get some SO3s, best tire in the market for wet and dry roads. So3s run about 10mm wider than most tires out in the market. If you are puttin on 255/35/18, it will be 265 and 235 is 245. So3s run wide for sure.

| yeah s-02 grips better in the dry, s-03 is supposdly better in the rain... conti sport is overpriced if you wanna spend $$$$$$$ just get bridgestone s-02 or s-03 no question they are the grippiest street tires out there... I had avs sports and they weren't that great, especially considering the wear... to be honest the cheapo kum-ho's grip almost as well and are half the price... I just run the kumhos on the street because i got really tired of buying tires every 3000 miles... on the track i run hoosiers. its tempting to slap the hoosiers on every now and then for street but at near a grand a set they're a little soft for street use. whatever you buy have fun, personally it breaks down to this: pricey tire: bridgestone s-02 / s-03 cheap tire: kumho or sumitomo ---> despite what people say both of these tires are safe, never had a problem with either. |
