FOR is owners: is your door molding chipping??

They guys, i'm not really sure what this part's called on the car but it's located on top of the window. I think it's the weather stripping? Well mine's been chipping on both sides of the car and now it's startin to rust so how should i go about fixing this problem? i was wondering if anyone ever got a chrome stripping trim to put on it to look like the newer 3 series ci's.

I'm having the same problem due to my window not always going down, in order to close, and over time it has caused some paint to chip. Wondering what I should do as well

Yeah, mine's doing the same thing. I think I'm just going to paint it black with some weatherproof paint.
