| There is nothing wrong with your rotors or pads. Its something wrong with the brake hydraulic system. First off make sure your fluid level is where it should be. Attempt to bleed the system of any air first before spending any money. If that doesnt help, i would look at the brake master cylinder, or the power booster as the source of your problem |

and I also agree that the problem is in your hydrolic system. Bleed the brakes. Its quick and easy to do. If you dont know how to bleed your brakes im sure you can search this forum for a thread to do it.. or just do a simple google search. So do that - get out any air that might be in there. If that doesnt work I would have a mechanic look at your Master Cylinder. Good luck.. and seriously, dont go driving around. After you bleed your brakes, just go for a small short drive in your neighboorhood. Go slow.. just see if the brakes work.. be sure you are ready with the e-brake if you have to use it. good luck |

but it definatly sounds like something in the hydrolics. Id be willing to bet its the master cylinder. |

| Guys thanks for the reply! I havent changed the brakes the only time I did that was last summer. Which I did myself. Well not the disc but the pads. I check the pads and they are about 50% life in them. I check the brake fluid and its full as usually. One thing I noticed aswell is. Even when the cars engine is off and I press softly at the brake pedal it still sinks in. But when I press it in one shot fast or double time it stiff and it holds. Yes I know its dangerous to drive like that. How would I bleed the system or take out that air like you guys said cause i didnt find it on yahoo search nor google? Can anyone provide me a step by step. I have the day off from work today so I have the time to do it. Thanks for the info! |

| A soft brake pedal usually indicates air or a leak in the system or a bad master cylinder. Air in the system is simple enough to fix, just bleed the brakes. A bad master cylinder is simple as well, just replace it with a new one. A leak in the system is going to be a problem because you have to troubleshoot the entire system and figure out where the leak is since you apparently cannot see it. If that's the case, you're better off bringing it to a professional (not necessarily a stealer).
