Need Help Fighting Ticket

Hi. Me and my friend are in need of advice to help fight ticket. We have a traffic lawyer, who says that it will be mostly thrown out of court. I will explain what happened.

About a month ago, we were out celebrating a hockey victory (van canucks). We left a party to celebrate downtown. We came back, missed turn to house, and ended up in sorta a T intersection in a residential neighborhood. We saw what we thought was an alley, and at end, was house where party was at. We decide to cut threw the alley. We started going, then slowly realized it was a bunch of undeveloped back yards. We stopped, only to skid in about foot deep mud. It really looked like a backyard, no we wernt drinking, no we wernt on drugs. We then tried to back his jeep out, yes jeep, dont comment on car please, its my friends not mine

. We were trying to get it out, but no use. We saw neighbor on phone to police. About 2minutes after, their was a helicopter circuling us. Dont know why they needed a helicopter, but anyways. Squad car showed up about 10 minutes later. We already called a tow truck to get us out. The put friend in car, and took him to bank machine to get money to pay for a POLICE tow truck, instead of our free AMA one. They then slapped a ticket for driving with undo care and attention. 6 point, 250$. No neighbors were pressing charges, and it was an honest mistake. We said we'd clean up mess, and nieghbors were fine with that.

Just wondering if anyone thinks we have a good chance. Should we bring pictures of sinario, witnesses in vehicle, anything. Please post ur opionions or advice. We goto court wednesday or thursday. Thanks

Damn sounds like you guys were just caught up in the moment. If his record is clean I would think he MIGHT get out of it.

Has that worked for anyone? I always lose when I fight but hey, I get the ticket cut in 1/2! They suck!!!

He has 1 other ticket on his record. Unsafe lane change. Rush hour, had to get over, cut off un marked vehicle. That was 2 years ago, and now hes 18. In canada his record might reset. not sure tho. any ideas on thata?

Canada is probably a whole different ball game. I would still fight it, just be honest and don't offer any information they dont ask for.

Go to court, go to the prosecutor and tell him/her "For the sake of the court, i'll pleade guilty to the charges, aslong as there are no points, but a higher fine." I guarantee you it will work, aslong as you are willing to spend the extra cash for no points.

WHoa now that is one big mistake hehe. Anyways bring all that you can pictures, pictures at Night for sure. ( If that is the time you were driving at) You really got to show that it was hard to tell it was a backyard and not an alley. But hey, umm when in doubt don't.
