Help - Power Locks/alarm system

Ok I have a 1993 325is with the bmw alarm system and keyless entry.

The passenger door whenever I go to lock it with the remote won't lock. Or unlock at that matter if I lock it with key. Also if I lock the driver side door inside the passenger door won't lock.

The Key is the only thing that seems to lock/unlock the door.

What do you think could be the problem and how much would it cost to get fixed?

this must be a common problem...

I noticed the same thing about a month ago...3 days ago I noticed it started working again...

hmm thanks for the reply. You think I should take it in or just live with it in hope it will start workin again?
