This is just for those naysayers that say the SRT-4 SUCKS... suck this ... this car is relatively stock ... and currently sitting in 9th place ...

RyanC is rocking along at 18th place in his AA supercharged mcoupe!

True, the SRT-4 is a professional driver; but, still -- shows you the POTENTIAL of that car .... Also goes to show you, mod the driver not the car

I'm disappointed not to see any EVO 8's in there ... that would have been interesting to see how they do.

So, for the performance minded individuals, still think the Neon sucks?

P.S. -- I know, you'd rather be seen in a BMW ... BAH .. I'm just saying that SRT-4 looks like it can haul major ass ... look at the company it's keeping ... 600+ hp vehicles. To be in the top 10, that's amazing ...

Whoever says the SRT-4 sucks is either an idiot, or someone who has never paid for their own car (and had to seek value where they could find it). At it's price, the SRT-4 is impossible to beat for those looking for performance. Time will tell on the upkeep, etc. required to keep it at operating spec, but for now Dodge has clearly hit one out of the ballpark with that Neon.

my friend test drove one and absolutely loved it. Id definetly say for the price you cant beat. Like CMT said though time will tell how well these cars hold up. He said he even chirped the tires into third

I think the OLOA is a good indication of quality, at least IMO, they have to be beating the piss out of it to keep ahead of the S4 (AWD mind you) Z06, 911 TT ... etc...

Keep in mind, it's relatively stock as well, otherwise it would be in the SSGT1 class ... so, there's really no cheating going on here ...

Just one bad-ass driver is what I think I think quality wise -- mechanically, no problems so far it seems ... we'll see at the end of this week ... but ... damn ...

BMW has a good showing -- 3 in the top 25.

Not because it would probably pull on me at the stop light with my slipping clutch and mushy shift box, but because when we pull up to the next stop light...........wait for it...............HE IS STILL DRIVING A SUCKY NEON!!! HAHAHAHA!!! The M3 rules not becuase it's the fastest car in the world (sorry, it's not), but because of everything else too. That's the point of the M series. Everyday drivability, with M-power. Same goes for the Lancer Evo and WRX and WRX STi. Have you ever seen the cheapo plasticky interiors on those? No thanks.

its all what u like i guess and what ur lookin in for a car. I personaly dont think speed is everything. people say the SVt is fast and all and yes it maybe that but thas dandy ya know? I got 2 prelude's that add up to around almost 35k. I could easily sell them, buy a 92 civic and have a 10sec car for you with that money but thats not the point.

It's not a Neon, it's an SRT-4. Completely different cars. And if you are buying your M cars for the interior, sorry...but you need to move on to Infinity or Lexus. Buy a BMW for it's engine, it's quality, and it's excellence in overall performance. The STi and EVO interiors are for younger crowds not interested in leather dashes (requires a lot of upkeep), fancy wood panneling (no purpose other than looks), or other heavy materials that would otherwise take away from performance. An in all likelyhood, you're going to want CF stuff anyways.

All you name-droppers are a bunch of idiots...you judge a car on it's name and not on it's merits. Look at the first two cars on the list, Corvettes. I'm sure you'll say, "they're just Chevys" though...

That is exactly what I was saying, you buy the M because it has it all, not just the interior. It's just like illegalprelude said too, I could sell my M3 and buy a POS and mod it to burn holes through any car, but that's not the whole picture of the M-series, like I said.

I see a 13 second (13.9 stock! Booya!), circa $19,000 car that totally rips. I can't wait until there is an established aftermarket for this thing, while I have heard that the stupid power will require a turbo upgrade, supposedly there is another 30-40 HP awaiting the owner with an ECU upgrade. That's just awesome.

its a 427 cid c5 (hence z07 as in 7 liters), tuned by the boys at Motorsport Technologies In Texas. Those guys have built some mean ass LS1 based cars...

Before the car even came out Mopar already had a stage III upgrade that puts the car over 300HP/300TQ.

i dont know if i would go so far as to say its not a neon. it is definately a neon in the sense that the car was based off one the way an m3 is based off a 3 series. not really the same car overall but still has the general essence. as a plus i've also heard they handle just as well as they go in a straight line to all those about to start the "oh but once it hits the curvy stuff my m3 will murder it". anyways definately a kickass car if you can get over the fact that its a neon
