Alot of people say this ... what makes YOUR CAR better than the SRT? Not trying to flame, just curious.

Your car obviously does not outhandle it, does not out accelerate it, and performance wise -- loses. So how does is your car better?

Is it a: because your car is a BMW ... is that the ONLY reason?

The reason why I'm curious, many of you say you picked the BMW for it's performance-oriented abilities ... however, you are being complete hypocrites when you do not consider other vehicles.

OLOA is a good test of a car ... look at where bmw is, 18, 23 and 24 IIRC. M5 and mcoupes.

Even the 350Z is in 14th place. Plus, the bmw drivers are REALLY good drivers as well, they could definitely kick our ass ... So what makes your car better?

The 350 Z has a nicer interior than BMW's IMHO as well ...

from what i hear neons are the worst reliable car, pretty much is line with chrysler products. bad design, poor safety, crappy looks. so it's got a turbo, big freagin' deal. i'll take a civic, slap a turbo on it and beat any neon in town. that's what I would do if i was looking for a smack ass mobile... take a 10j mustang, put s turbo on that, and it's better than a neon. take a v6 camaro, s/c that, let my dog drive it, and it'll beat any yellow neon.

This is part of the reason that a lot of people have left DTM. You have a bunch of people being TOTALLY biased towards BMW because of the nameplate. ITO almost anything else sucks.

This car is brand new, costs less then a CPO 325Ci, has better performance figures, and a FULL warranty. In it's current form it is a good car, bordering on great....FOR THE MONEY. In the long run time will tell what happens to the mechanicals, interior, etc, etc. But this also holds true for certain things on the e46, since the interiors are not quite designed for "eternal life" either.

Different people buy cars for different reasons. They also have different attitudes towards other things that they don't have. It would be nice if everyone here could greet the Neon SRT-4 as a good low-$ sport compact, but that seems like it will never happen. IT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE COMPETITION FOR A BMW!!!

Oh, and the car IS official the Neon SRT-4, is it not? That means it's still a Neon, just a higher model. A Lancer Evo VIII is still a Lancer, a Mustang Cobra SVT is still a Mustang, a F-150 Lightning is still a F-150, an e30 M3 is still an e30, an e36 M3 is still an e36, and an e46 M3 is still an e46. We can call it a SRT-4 to distinguish it's trim/model level, but it is still a Neon. That means it is still in the Compact/Sport Compact class, and should not REALLY be compaired to anything BMW makes, since almost all their cars are Sports/Performance Sedans.
