Ok Im Mad!!

I went to the track the other day with my bro and my friend. The real reason was to see how fast my bro's car can run the quarter and to see if it will beat my friends 93 Acura Legend. well we lost. my friends auto legend ran 15.96 pretty consitent. he said it was the car. i am thinking driver error??? My brother drives a Integra GSR with i/h/e. We ran a 16.4 and 16.6 and a 16.2 without the subs but we almost stalled the last run. The first two runs had the subs. What were we really doing wrong. Our 60ft times were kinda high at 2.7. Oh and by the way i ran the beemer. I had just filled 18 gallons of gas in my car and it ran a 17.596 at 79.xx i didnt care. the announcer quoted " He shouldnt care hes in a BMW" that made my day!! anyway why do you think we lost. I pretty sure it was because of weight and driver error. also my friend was running on a quarter tank with 104 octane boost in it. my brother ran 3/4 tank with full tire pressure at 40.

sorry for writing so much just would like to know???

I'm thinking it has to be the 60' time. Thats way to high. If works on his launch, I'm sure he could get alot better times. BTW, how well does your brother shift?

he doesnt shift too well, but i drove the car on the second run. I can drive stick very well but i have never driven his car. i picked up other people's rubber scrap and left a massive burn out threw the first two gears. i was the one who ran a 16.6 but it was hot out like 88 deg. and the subs were still in. so next time we will see. i ran a crappy galant Gs at a 15.9 and that was stock.

my friend has a manual GSR. He has I/E and plus shocks and he runs a 14.8 with his. But he is one of the best drivers ive ever seen.

yeh that is way off, must be the launch or something wit the 60' times, an integ gs-r should easily be low-mid 15's with a decent driver with those mods

my altima ran 15.8's in 75 degree weather. you DEFINITLY need to learn to launch better (try slipping the clutch more - bad for the clutch but better for the launch), with a 2.7 60'. Judging by the times, you aren't launching right (burning out/bogging).

It has to be your launching! As already said slip the clutch alittle and have proper revs, 3500 should be fine (ie. dont rev it to 6000rpm and dump the clutch...!!)
