Help Guys, I Got A Ticket Tonight, What Can I Do?????????

ALright, well, get this. I was at a light. There was a red mustang beside me. Well the light turned green, and i just kind of rolled off and then slowly gave it more gas. The guy in the mustang wasnt even racing me. I wasnt racing. I just ran 1st gear up high, and then ran a little of 2nd out then just switched. Well i pass 1 light and then i had to stop and get some money out of my atm. Well i pulled up, turned my car off, and got out and started to get money out of the atm. A minute later, a cop pulls in the parking lot and pulls up beside me and puts his lights on. He asks me for license and registration. I was like for what. He says for speed competition. So i was like ummm my car is just louder because of exhaust and intake. SO i gave him my license and he goes and writes me a ticket for willfull speed competition. What can i do guys. THe keys werent even in my car when he pulled up. I was out of it. Also, he gave me the ticket but didnt make me sign it. I dont know if he forgot or what. Can i get this dropped? He didnt put a speed or anything. If i get a lawyer can i get this dropped completely or will i get points for this? Help me out guys, I dont want points.

up here you need to sign for it to be legit, id say with a lawyer you should be able to get it dropped pretty easily. ive seen people get out of really sticky situations with lawyers. i could be wrong though.

okey my uncle is a cop and he told me to ask if he put down the speed you were goin?? or he made you sign anything???? if he didn't make you sign any thin then he was just bullshitin you and just take him to the court without a lawyer and you will win cuz you can say that you have sports car witha sports engine that sounds agresive>>>>>

No he didnt put any speed down. All he put was that i was in a willfull speed competition with another vehicle. He didnt make me sign the ticket. He just kind of handed it to me from my rear quarter panel. DIdnt even come to my door. I just dont want any points. I have an intake and exhaust. I mean i just kind of revved the gear a bit, but nothing bad.

bye the way how much is the tiket and if he really wanted to get you he would off make you lift up the hood just for your slef to be sure get a lawyer and go to court.

I bet with a lawyer you can get it dropped. No signature, and you weren't even racing, I think it's a BS ticket. Good luck man.

i got a 63 in a 25 speeding ticket... 5 points, i went to court with a lawyer, and not a single fine or point was dropped... i lost my license for 30 days... and in new jersey you never have to sign the tickets, they just give them to you
