How long does it take to get a settlement for an accident?

I got into a pretty big accident last month which totaled my car and I got some injuries. The accident wasn't my fault and my insurance co. already paid me for my car but not the $500 deductable. They also haven't said anything about my pain and suffering money. BTW I have "triple A"

How long does it usually take to recieve the deductable and the pain and suffering money?

Took me around three years before I got a settlement.

I'm on the opposite end of one.... although the guy is just trying to bleed me (neither he nor his car had any damage). We've been at it for 2 years now. Going to PRE trial in June! When will it ever end!!!!

careful, if you already cashed the check they gave you...then you might have given up your right to go after them. read the fine print!!!!

TOOK ME A YEAR TO FIGHT WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY. I GOT 70% OF MY DAMAGES

depending on what state you are in then you have a certain time frame to file a lawsuit in order to get money from the other person that caused the accident. i know here in nj it is 2 years to file the claim, then after that it can take quite a bit of time. i myself am going through this right now, getting hit with a 200k lawsuit that my attorney says they will probably win and get if not all very close to the money.
