need help lowering my car

umm... i was about to go ahead and buy the lowering springs like a while ago, but my frend told me that my shocks would get fuked up if i just get springs. so , i was wondering if there were any people out there who has dropped their cars to give me some advice. All i want to do is make the car look lower, cause the freakin ti's are so high off the ground like its some freakin rally car.

so is my frend right would just gettin the springs freak my car up?? and do i have to get new shocks also or coilovers??? i just want a cheap mod to make the car car look better.

wuts the difference btween coilover and springs? price difference? which gives better performance money wise?

and does anyone know where i could find some springs for a cheap price. i found some on www.bavauto.com and i was wondering if anyone has gotten these, and if they are any good...
