The two Audis are newer cars so I would expect them to win. The E39 is from 1997, six years ago if you include sales in late '96. The E46 is three years old also. Audi made two amazing cars and I have respect for both of them. But I can't wait for the new E60 M5 to come out....V10 ~500hp anyone?! And how about a V8 powered M3 putting out something like 450hp? Add BMWs 50/50 weight distribution, amazing handling, brakes, and just plain driving pleasure....BMW will reign supreme again in another 2 to 3 years. Hell, they are still number one in every category in my book.

I got that issue a few days back. They complained of the M3's dated interior ("50 grand and no leather?"). They were not just basing it on power or handling. Now how about that new E55? I wouldnt mind it as a weekend car at all. A Z06 here, 360 there, all while cruising in my 4500lb tank in complete luxury. Sure the car drives itself, but if I wanted more of a drivers car for less money Id get an Sti. BMW is nice, but it doesnt always reign supreme in every catagory. There is no reason for all this bickering.

i think your sig isnt true anymore... isnt the new sti still a 4 cylinder but 300 or so hp?

i was looking for an 944 turbo s to buy but ppl still want like 15k for a car like that with decent miles..

anways i think the 944 lost its reign as the fastest 4 cyl. the turbo s is still one DAMM fast car
