Which Bimmer should I get ??

I own an Audi 2.8 '96 5 speed, I want to sell it and get a bmw, but I can't figure out which model I want.

What is for sure, is that I want a manual car and I want something that I will be able to use as a daily driver considering that I will also drive it in winter (Montreal's winter).

I plan to mod the car, but nothing too serious like F/I, mostly bolt on and minor mods. I want something fun to drive and fast.

please vote to this poll and also explain your choice.

your opinions is highly appreciated !

thanks

I love m3's but way too many of them around. Go for the 5 series, i think they have the pimp factor and speed

M3 for sure... Actually if I could find one I'd go for an old school 3.0 CSL... That's right the Batmobile! I'm not sure how it would fare in MTL winter but... Nice to enjoy in the summer

I like the 5 serie. It's comfortable and sure. The motor 4.4 from BMW is an exellent one!!! I would have the 540I!

I would take M5, or M3 euro(6 speed from 1996).
If you are a family man then go for M5(would be tricky to handle in winter) or 540i 6 speed.

I want to get something faster and with RWD, My car is FWD not quattro, so there is no special feeling !

It woudn't be worth to upgrade my 2.8 with a turbo or something like that, it's cheaper to buy a new car that is already faster ! There is nothing to do with audi, because my first plan was to buy a '00 S4 6 spd, but they are a little bit too expensive.

I say the M3, because the M5 is way to expensive to maintain.
