Dude... I'm telling you, the 540I is s w e e t. The M3 is nice and it's real fun to drive, but the V8 just has grunt, especially with some very minor upgrades. Intake, Chip and Exhaust and you will be happy.

Oh yeah, and I'm real bias!

Do you have any Idea of what could be your 0-60 with those mods ? or 1/4 mile ?

Could you smoke an M3 modded whit chip, intake, exhaust ?

Are you 6spd or automatic ?

I like manuals too but the 540 has a ton of torque for a pretty agressively-geared manual. If I were looking to get a 540, I'd actually prefer an auto.

The E34 M5 is awesome.

There are plenty of M3 around but that's because they're great cars.

Parts for the the M cars can get pretty scary-expensive.

I'd probably go for the 540. It's plenty fun and plenty fast. Nice and roomy too!

My 540 is fast... not quick. Seriously over 100, not much keeps up. Z06's blast me off the line, but on the highway it is too much fun to play. Anyway I like both, my preference is the 5 but the M3 is a hot car.
