| I think the size for optimal performance is no larger than 16'. I'll see if I can dig up the formula. Based on that, I'm guessing 17s would be better than 18s.

| depends on the weight and width.... an 18in wheel that is lighter and wider than a 17in wheel is better, 1. because it's lighter 2. because the added width provides a larger contact patch.... that being said, if you can find a 17in wheel that is light, that's pretty much your best bet... ...but you also have to put into consideration how much your tires will wiegh and their widths as well.... ...just the watered down stuff ![]()

| that's not entirely true. it's about the rotational inertia of the rim. (force required to spin up a wheel). The further out the rotational mass is, the more effort is required to start the wheel spinning. Just b/c the wheel with a greater diamter is less massive, (weighs less) doesn't always account to it being easier to start spinning. Reason for this, the translational speed doesn't depend on the mass of an object.

| I say it depends on many factors. Weight, width...etc. If you can get 265s on the back and 245 in the front... then your good. I have 17x8s in the front, and 18x9s in the back. OZ Superleggeras. I love it.
