Make-shift Turbo charger.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME

Just got back from Seattle, where some hot shot nissan kid thinks hes got some power under the hood, (240sx). Not too much power well. He is in front of me, revin the f*ck outa his engine. Then a For Focus rolls up to my right like he is gonan race. He turns at me, then creps forward. Light turns green. The 240sx jumps off the line and is gone. The ford focus is dragging behind, but still up there, with the blow off value form the focus in my ear, i see the 240sx vanish, leavign the turbo focus crying. I sit there. and can't figure out what happened. % mins. later i see the 240 parked in some lot. I turn into talk to the guy. He pops his hood and shows me he has some crazyass f*ckin electric supercharger....looks liek a little electric thing you would plug into the wall to fil up an air matress. wahtever it was, can someone tel me if this was bullshit, or if it was the real thing, and how could that lil thing push so much power.

Oh wait, get this...I just was looking around my house, cuz i KNEW i had seen what he had before. I have one at my house, it plug into a cig. socket for power and its a air blower to fill up matresses and innertubes. It seems to have a lot of pressure for its size..it could have worked....
only differeence is turbos spin at like 70,000rpm's...i think...thats just a "FEW" more rpm's than these little electric ones....

these cheap 100 fans/blower kits that run off electricty will actually take power away from your engine. When you put it inline with your intake it cant possibly create positive pressure becuase the engine sucks down so much more than any fan can produce. Since the engine is sucking the air in and the fan's motor cannot keep up, the engine is actually being forced to spin the fan, making your intake more resitrictive. Looking at the sheer number of watts a turbocharger requires to run could never be duplicated with a cars power system. Clearly this takes the GHETTO MOD OF THE YEAR AWARD!!!

this thing is a fan, a turbo is a compressor. no way it could do that to that 240. he probably has NOS and was yankin your chain.

well... according to www.howstuffworks.com, to get more power, the engine need more air, and he(electric_supercharger) applied that science onto real vehicle.

why don't someone try it and tell us the result of the dyno? we cannot justify the item without seeing some proofs.. can we?

he claimed that it'll increase 15% and it's guaranteed, dyno-proven ..

simple science does increase HP, it's like creating a DIY air-ram, fan delete and few more ..

Those dynos almost look faked.. i mean the first one at least, the gains are way too uniform.

well, I have to bash this electric supercharger if it does'nt have enough proofs, but it does have enough proof..

the engine does not suck air as much as you think, and you can't compare the 1 PSI electric-supercharger and 10-20 PSI turbocharger .. it's different level and price
