Computer Upgrades Possible? Hey, I was wondering if anyone could gove me some feed back about a bavarian autosport item. Its not a chip, but rather a device to reprogram your existing computer so that the car runs quicker, higher rev limits, higher top speed, an so on. It almost sounds too good to be true, so if anyone has one or knows about it, let me know

it sounds just like the Jim C/Tuner motorsport flash reprogramer, instead of a chip it reprograms your computer. since you have a 96 thats the year that you shark your vehicle instead of chipping it. ive heard real good things about the jim c program, but i havent talked to anyone with the bav one.

| why would it be better to program rather than chip a 96? Also what year do you recommend for a 94?

I was asking because it would be great to have the upgrades of a chip, but still retain all the original computer equipment. That way there is no conflict. The Bav unit costs about $400, so im just trying to see what my options are.

i believe thats pretty much your only option for after 96, flash reprograming that is, whereas in a 95 and earlier you get a new chip for your ecu, to the best of my knowledge they achieve pretty similar results... if you want to learn more about it go to tunermotorsport.com . Yes i would recommend the Jim C on both the flash reprogramer and the chip, ive got the chip myself, and have heard nothing but good things about pretty much all jim c/tms products.
