e36 exhaust options

i am looking at getting new exhaust for my 92 e36 and needed some input. I have looked into the active autowerke generation III exhaust and really like it so far. My price range is about $700. I am looking for reasonably decent gains in horsepower and torque. almost equally important is the sound. Nothin ricy at all. only deep and throaty and loud. if you have any ideas let me know, thanks.

Gains from an aftermarket exhaust on your car would be little to none, so I would just decide on looks, sound, and weight. If you want deep, throaty and loud, don't get AA; Their exhausts are rather quiet but sound awesome at WOT (Really awesome, trust me). If you want an exhaust that if loud throughout the whole rev range, get an Eisenmann Race exhaust.
I would still go with an AA Gen III if I was you.
