Bashing mitsubishi for no apparent reason was his first mistake... uh.... the gloves are now off. |

| So, if somone gets their car from Mommy and Daddy, that's a reason to dislike them? Sounds like jealousy to me. Oh, why you selling your 'clipse? I might be buying a GS-T Spyder or GSX (97 - 99) within the next few months. I know alot of the DSM'ers are trying to offload their cars to get their hands on the EVO's.. -Ducky

| Giving your kid a 10k grad present is one thing. Buying your kid a $50,000 sports car for his/her Sixteenth is another thing ENTIRELY. I'm offloading my Eclipse to get a BMW of some kind. Also... to pay debt to parents off. |

| damn such haters... I'm 27 and yes I am paying for the car myself... and no my handle/alias/username doesn't refer to reafer, it referes to my no longer existant travel agency site. www.majortrip.com It's not too slow I just feel it has alot more potential straight line and on the track. But for now I just would like to make it lay down some high elevens. My last car was a f-max turbo charged honda prelude... that could keep up with my super awesome M3. I also had a 1967 Ford mustang coupe with a 514 CID SVO bigblock producting 600 HP...That if I had ever gotten the rear end right would have pulled into the high 8s... But I sold both to get the M3 and I love it but I do want it to be over 400HP by the beginingg of next year. And like I said about mitsubishi, they suck...and the reason being is that they don't hold value...The 2000 Eclipse that my wife has will only pull 10k (if we are lucky)...but, although we didn't do 0-0-0, we still owed more then the thing was worth... We paid the $13000 last month to pay it off. She now has a MB E320 why keep the eclipse? The 1997 honda prelude I purchased in 2000 for $16000 and sold it this year for $14000 (granted I got it for close to 4k less than bluebook) the only problem was the transmission... purchased an aftermarket warranty and had the transmission replaced for $300... So, wouldn't you say having a car for 3 years and only paying 2K is preferable to paying more than 20k and only getting 10k back? I would never purchase a Misubishi unless I was going to race it into the ground...beyond that they really aren't worth it... Alex Last edited by majortrippz : 04-22-2003 at 07:50 AM. |
