| kagadis I have been looking at this school for 5 months now and from my research I have come to the conclusion that it's a great school. I will be attending in a few weeks. If you have more questions...ask way.

| kagadis, You can get an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology at a community college and it takes two years. This is a great route from many because you get good training and its not too expensive. On the other hand UTI is a technical school specializing in Automotive, Diesel & Industrial, HVAC/R, Collsion Repair Technology. I will be taking the Automotive Technology program in Phoenix that takes about 11 months. The piece of paper they give you after you graduate is called a Diploma, which says you have completed a program that has been ASE Certified in all 7 fields. Another plus of UTI is the gruduate programs that offered to the students who do well. The only prerequisite is that you have to have a highschool diploma. It is expensive, between 15k & 20k depending on the program but ANY form of higher learning is an investment.

| Hey guys, I took the Automotive Technology Program with HOT ROD U at UTI in Rancho Cucamonga. The tuition at that time back in late 1997 was about $9k-10k. Now I heard the tuition is up and maybe over $15k. This also depends on how many courses you take. Yes they do offer loans and grants. The course took me 11 months to complete. Upon graduating I also took the BMW STEP training in Orlando, FL for 6 months. I think now its longer than 6 months because of the new models that are out now. I've had classmates in STEP saying that the BMW program is harder than your typical college. The information they give you is like putting a fire hose in your mouth and taking all that information and yes you have a test the next day everyday throughout the entire course. If you're interested in becoming a Technician then UTI is the best place to go. If you just want to learn how to repair cars or get knowledge how they work, just go to a city college.
