Differential gears.

I'd like to put 3.73 gears in my diff but having trouble locating them. I've been looking for a donor but I'd rather have new gears but theres no way I could afford a new diff from BMW. Any ideas what options I have here? Thanks guys,

I think so. Jim Blanton is supposed to be "the man" when it comes to drivetrain components.

He is the man for diffs. I sent him a open 2.93lsd diff and he
returned it to me the same 2.93lsd w/a 50% lock and a 3 plate
clutch disc system, which I wished I knew how to explain it to you.

Now I'm sending him a 3.15open diff to be converted to 2.79lsd
w/a 50% lock up and the 3 plate clutch system again.

Of course I paid to get the services done. I think you can email
him at: jim@blantontransmission.com I will check Sat morning
when I get to AA for some paper work catch up...

I have not done this myself, but from what I have read the price is in the $1700-$1800 range.

Dead on the money. That is what Turner charges for a newly built differential with custom lockup, and I am sure that His Highness King Blanton (and I say that without sarcasm, he really is the king hands-down) will charge right along those lines.

Yea Jim does a lot of Race stuff, and is not cheap, but you pay for top notch high quality parts. He's also a good resource for info
