Does anyone like their 318 ?

I had posted earlier about buying an M3 bumper kit, since I am shopping for a BMW. I was surprised how negative people were on the 318, except one guy and he said to buy a 325.

Does anyone like their 318 or is the step child of the BMW family ?

Well unless you are going to drop an M3 motor in it they are really, really slow, man the 323 is even pretty slow, so that is why most don't really like the 318's. I really wanna get a 318ti as a project car and drop the ///M3 in it, they make such a nice mix.

That brought me to my next question. As I daily driver/ project car, are there any mods that can be done to the 318 to make it any quicker ?

Also, will an ///M3 motor just bolt right up in a 318 chassis ?

The 318 is just too slow. Sure it looks nice and all, but after driving it for almost two years, I'm ready for something faster, that's why I'm saving up for a '95 m3 . Also, my 318 is auto, so I can't wait to get a manual m3!

Im think im the one ur talking about....i do like my 318 but im also 16 years old.....soo im pretty damn happy to get to drive a bimmer. Its a manual and i find it fun to drive. If your deciding between a 318 vs a 325 there just isnt any question the 325 is so much faster.

I like my 318i, I often get confused w/ a m3 since i have the OEM kit plus the SS dual tip exhaust. So pretty much I look like a 6. When people ask me what kind of model I have, I always tell the truth.

i have to say i also love my 318i, i did put a DASC on it though, so it does go a lil faster than a stock 318. it handles really nice its not too bad on gas.
