Considering an E36 320i coupe????

Hi all, I am considering buying a 320i coupe, are there any common problems I should be aware of? Also, as the 320i was only made until 1995, is it worth thinkin about buying a car so old? Also, can anybody tell me the difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2 in the E36 coupes please?

hi,

welcome/ the e36 320 was never offered for sale here in the USA so i have no specific experience.

as with any car, buy the newest E36 you can find. Differences between the newer E36s and the old ones are digital climate control, different grille, sophistication of ECU and some chassis improvements.

Here in Denmark the 320i was on sale between 1991 and 1998, so you should be able to find a sample that is in fact only about 10 years old..
