Black honeycomb mesh

Any idea where to get this (I think I saw it on an e36 m3)? I was thinking about changing the front lower grill on my non m3 e36 to this black honeycomb mesh. The slats just don't cut it. It's actually surprising how I can't find a single kit for a non m3 lower grille, not even an overpriced one. Any links would help tremendously, even for a non honeycomb.

Actually, any non-pliable mesh that someone has had good results with would help.

I had similar looking mesh on my 98 M3. The mesh was very sturdy and I never had issues at well over 100 mph (not on public roads of course). The mesh was given to me by a friend who owned an industrial design company. I would suggest contacting local builders to see if they have something for sale. You'll have to cut the mesh with metal shears and design a way to attach the mesh to your bumper.
