| lettering on trunk i was wondering if it is safe to take off the lettering on my trunk because today i noticed it was only held on by glue. Does anyone know if it will leave any sort of mark or if the glue will come off easily??      |

| its double sided tape. 50/50 on removal. Mine sucked but I was still in Alaska then & it was cold out. Heat it up with a blow dryer or if its hot outside that should help soften the adhesive. Using teflon dental floss or fishing line, you can gently saw away the emblem without scratching the clearcoat(which I did). Removal of the excess can be as easy as rubbing it off, sometimes it just balls up and comes off, or 3M makes some paint safe adhesive remover that works wonders. -JP

| it comes off fairly easily. Use Goo Gone to get rid of the remaining glue.

| Goo-gone is sometimes not aggressive enough(as was my case). If such is the case, The 3M adhesive remover in the acetone lookin can is something to behold
