Traction Control/ABS question

So the other morning I went out and got in my 99 528i to go to work and noticed that my Traction Control light along with my ABS light came on. I looked in my manual, and it said to fix the ABS light, to add fluid. I did and it is still on. The traction control was supposed to be checked by a dealer. It has been a week and the lights are still on. anybody have any ideas? thanks

The most common problem in my own experience for abs lights is wheel speed sensors. Very easy to replace and not that expensive. To know for sure if the light comes on and stays on if you know someone that has access to a scanner, you should be able to pull a code.

yeah the traction control system uses the ABS wheel speed sensors to determine wether a wheel is spinning quicker than the others so id say a wheel sensor...but like fairweather points out if theres a light theres a code, that will lead you straight to the problem.
