So I posted in the 7 class Fourm and in the General Discussion Fourm about gaining some HP on my 745 Li. I have yet to get any replys. Is this the right Web Site to post things to this nature or should I find another Web Site to get some info about my 745?

I have a 745 Li 2004 and I love it. I want to gain some more HP. I do not want to spend 10K on this because I will only have it for about 2 more years tops mabe even less.

What type of exhaust do you think would be best for this car? I have read that an AC Schntizer is pretty good... Is there any more out there or any bad things I should know about this type of exhaust or putting an exhaust on at all?

What about a BMW Electric Super Charger?

What about an Air Intake?

I would really like so good info here please. I want to get this done asap.

An electric what you say?

Exhaust, CAI and re-tune (chip).

Get a custom exhuast. Cheaper and can be made for your needs.
CAI - I have no idea what is available for the 7 series. Maybe just a pod filter...
Chip - some say usless, others like them. Check Powerchip I have no idea if they are any good. But they say they can increase performance by 20hp with a chip.

A chip is definitely worth while, but understand that while mostly 3 series and some 5 series have marketable performance upgrades 7 series is probably the most luxrious and least modded bmw there is. Someone else may know more than I on 7 series but most performance options I've never even seen offered for 7 series.

That is the problem that I am running into alot. It seems the 7 series dont offer to many upgrades. It tops out at 160 MPH which that is plenty for me, no dought. What I am looking for is from 0 to 100. I want to get a ton of mid range, but I dont see to many parts offered.

I found 1 website that talked about an AC Schntizer exhaust for the 7 class, but I have asked around about it and I have not heard any good things or bad things about this type of exhaust.

They also said something about a Electric Supercharger along with an Air Intake. I guess the Electric Supercharger forces air into the motor even more than just adding at Air Intake. I am not sure. It runs great now, I just want a bit more.

Electric superchargers are a load of s**t!! please dont buy one of them, complete waste of time!! its just like one of those handheld fans being stuck in your intake pipe, if there was a way you could actually see how fast an engine like yours actually sucks air in you would then understand that those things would actually do more harm than good. the thing is with your car...even if you added another 20bhp with a few bits your not gonna see a considerable difference in performance because they weight so much!! id put the money towards something a bit sportier after the 2 years.

Well thanks for the info. You have been a great deal of help. Sounds like I just sit back, relax in my nice ride untill its time to upgrade! I really like the full size 745Li tho. It has so much room. I am a tall guy so I kinda need it. Sounds like I just need to suck it up and go get a 760 V12 with a supercharger. I think they are pushing well over 500 HP like that.
