| Engine Options I broke another rocker arm today, should I do some performance work while the rocker arm is being replaced (if so, what could I do?) or should I go for the m50 conversion? I have an m20 325i underpowered e30. Thanks for all your opinions in advance. One thing to consider is my budget, I only have about $3,000 to spend on whatever I do. Thanks, Jeff      |

| M50 is a nice motor, but I can't comment on the cost of conversion on your side of the pond. I have an E30 and E34 and was going to swap the motor from the 525 over but opted for a 2002Tii conversion instead. I supose it is largely dependant on how much of the work you can do yourself. But well worth it. |

| Question about the E30 to S50 Engine Swap Hey guys, sorry for interrupting any discussions here, but I have a question. I am planning on buying myself a BMW E30 and swapping it with an S50 M3 engine. The only problem is I live in Burlington Ontario, just near Toronto and I haven’t got a clue where I should go to have this engine swap done… Also, I don’t know where I can pick up a reasonable S50 engine. I don’t want to overspend by buying an entire E36 M3 and just ripping the engine out of there, but so far I think there are any S50 engines near my location. I just need some help decided what would be best, and where I could have this done. Thanks again guys. |
