| Friends Since I have joined this forum (and other BMW forums), I have found much help and respect from other members. I am thrilled to find this companionship only based on a love for a car, but still I feel a bit empty. Having left my Dub roots to move to my dream car, I am a bit lonely. When I had my dub, I could drive by almost any one in another, give the Dub V hand signal, and get a warm welcome back. This has nothing to do with BMW owners or anyone here, but to get that same friendship while passing a stranger with the same brand car is much harder these days. And don't get me wrong, I wouldn't go back for anything. As soon as I open the door I love the car I own (I don't even need to sit in it), but I feel I cannot connect with the average owner in my area. I need more BM owners in the area that realize the family we belong to. We are not just people with the same make of car, we are brothers and sisters. |

![]() BMW don't have quite the youth following VW's have. Most BMW owners are not enthusiasts. Even M3 owners comment about how when they wave at another M3 owner they usually get a blank stare or a nasty look.

| Yeah i understand that its definately a different breed. And it really isn't that bad, i just liked that natural comeradery and pride that came with dubs. But i gave it up for what i wanted and it keeps me happier than my damn electrical nightmare of a dub did, so i really don't know why i complained. |
