Problem with CCFL

i tried putting in the CCFL lights i got for my e36 m3 but i cudnt do it, i ended up breaking one of the rings. I do have the euro-version that has the front lens made of glass, but is that the only way to do it? can sum give me step by step instructions bcuz i have to order new rings, and i cant afford to mess up again

dont get what you mean!! what were you doin to snap a ring??

i dont know when it broke but when i must hav bent it too much by accident. i tried taking off the round lenses and putting the ring and then the lenses back on, but the rings arent straight

oh right, well a popular way to do it is remove the front glass via the metal clips, then seperate the plastic frame which holds the two round bits of glass from the headlight base, you can cut the round bits of glass out and leave them out for a cleaner look, because they are projectors the half sphere bit of glass sorts out the pattern, i clear siliconed my rings onto the plastic frame that held the round bits of glass and looks good! ill post a pic

that 1 looks good but isn't there a really easy way to put CCFL lights in, without taking the round lenses out?
