18'' alloys multispokes would look nice. Alloys are pretty cheap on ebay.

If you want to make it sporty lookin i would get a decent backbox, but obviously it depends what look your goin for.

i would install a new set of healights too (maybe xenon or halo) and remove the side strips too.

This is what I would do with that car:
e46 M3 Front Bumper
Angel Eye Head lights
Euro Fog lights
Clear turn signals
Chrome Grill
German Style Front Plate
Vented Vorstyner Hood
Chromed Out Rims BBS or HRE
Clear Rear Turn Signals
e46 M3 Trunk Lip or CSL Trunk
Rear Window Spoiler
Cold Air Intake
Free Flow Exhaust with Test Pipe
Adjustable Coil Overs
Alright That Just about does it for my suggestions.

I agree with powerfreak! Screw all that other stuff blow it up. Get a supercharger. No seriously though I would get all the maintenance up to date before you start modifying things.

yeah, maintenance is the best thing to do first. When I first got my car I gave it a FULL Inspection/tune up and replaced a bunch of stuff. In all it was about $1400. Haven't had to do any maintenance the 3 years I have had it after that.

that's a real good price. What I'd do is get some springs and shocks. Then look around for some nice low offset rims. Then get a CAI and software. That should be a good starting point for you.

upgrade the shifter - stiffer bushings, shorter through, bmws have a long soft through
an upgraded sway bar kit would eliminate a lot of body roll with a very minimal sacrifice in ride ......... its tough to upgrade perfection

thanks guys, right now i jus put in a k&n intake, and i heard that it doesnt add much hp, but i deff feel the difference. im doing some cosmetic shit to it (red angel eyes, clear turn signals, side signals, clear taillights), and then getting the maintenance up to date before i do any serious work like exhaust, coilovers, sway bar n shit. ill have a pic up soon of what its starting to look like
