Pretty nice car. Your fortunate that your first car ever is a BMW. How many miles are on it? I would worry about some maint. things first before you start dressing it up. I would have a BMW specialsit look at the car.

It has 73330 about. i just remember seeing that exact number last week. but yeah i def. need to have it looked at considering the light has gone yellow and red. im in east bay and think im going to go to bmw of concord. let me know anything else you can, thanks

OK so you have fairly low mileage for a 98. Water pumps w/ the plastic impellers on these cars are prone to failing as well as the radiators. But all in all they are pretty good cars. You will have this car for a long time if you keep up with the maintenance.

Intake, exhaust and a chip are a good start. If you really want just a little more power. I thought I just wanted a little more power too, but I was wrong. I wanted a lot more. AFE Intakes are good. Anything UUC is almost top of the line in my opinion. Do not get cheasy stuff off ebay whatever you do.
