| Newbie I'm new to these parts, not only because I just joined but because I was previously a die hard dub tuner. I currently drive a silver '01 325i sedan. I started off like I always do, with no plans to modify. I got the windows tinted, and now the bug's back. I'm looking for new wheels now. Hopefully I'll get to know some of you. -Squints      |

| Welcome! I myself actually did the opposite...I just bought a mk2 GTI with a 2.0 16v swap but before it I had only bought BMWs. Love these cars. The VW bug never hit me, i just like the look of the little car. Im selling it, not impressed with anything in it so far.

| For one, everything in the damn thing squeeks and rattles and shakes. It IS a fun car to drive, but I am always dissapointed in that it is fwd. It takes the fun out of it for me... Going from an e36 M3 with a very good suspension setup and powerplant, I was def. spoiled!

| Yeah, I could see that. I had a friend who had a GTI vr6, and I rode in it a few times. I never drove it, but it was fun to ride in, especially on the back roads. But I did enjoy driving my 318is on the back roads though, even though it was underpowered, the rwd was fun, and it handled really well for a (at the time) 11 year old car. I miss that car
