| They don't need to advertise because they have a connotation of luxury, performance, and high price. Americans are dumb. The only reason why Lexus, Infiniti, or any other luxury company exist in the US is because Americans are mostly thinking about status when they buy that sort of car so the Toyota Soarer, Altezza, Nissan 350gt, etc. doesn't cut it because in their eyes it's still just a Toyota or Nissan. |

| I would say that most movies have American Muscle cars in them because American Muscle cars evoke emotion. They are damn sexy in thier appearance and sound. Also most movies are made in America so they go with what's familiar to them. Ever notice that in movies the bad guys usually have european cars such as bmws and mercedes? I think it's to create an "US vs Them" mentality. The bad guys have foreign cars which are cold, calculating and precise works of efficiency. The good guys have an American Muscle car which they can relate to emotionally as an American viewer. Not necissarily built for perfection but it gets the job done in the end. I also noticed that in transformers all of the cars that got crushed were mainly european cars. BMW's and Mercedes mostly. I think that's because those are the brands that GM is losing most of it's customers to. They wanted to do some subliminal advertising. Pretty sure that cost them millions. Porsche and VW are totally gay if a fear of violence is the reason they allowed GM to completely butcher Jazz and bumble bee. I'm so glad optimus wasn't a hummer or something retarded.
