Buying a car need tips

Hey guys I am looking for a E36 M3 and found a '99. The car was hit but the drivers door and was fixed, the door now needs to be slammed to close. I want to have someone look at the whole car to see if it is ok I only have 10,000 to spend. I am in Jersey (bergen county), any one have any tips or know any good mechanics around the area.

Should I keep looking for a E36 under 10,000 or look for another model...

Also.....anyone know where I can find a hardtop for a e36? or know how much they run for?

bout 1500 2000 new for hardtop.
As far as a M3 for under 10k......its prolly rodded on for that price, and that means its gonna need things replaced....and the things are usually not cheap...but if its low mileage, and has good compression and plug readings....and owned by a grampa.....BUY IT

M3s can be had for 10 and under, do not settle.
