| i got a ticket today So today i was driving around in my m3. Driving like i usually do,you know using my car like its supposed to be. I was weaving in and out of traffic, but all of a sudden this jerk honks like im gonna hit him or something( which i wasn't going to) so instead of changing lanes i stay in my own lane. I thought that would be the end of this guy,but the guy pull ups next to me and just stares at me, so i yell at him to move cause he is now creating traffic, he jsut sits there so I cut him off. The guy turns out to be a DT (undercover detective) he pulls me over and gives me a ticket for "careless driving". Even though i was clearly never going to hit him, he was just pissed cause i cut him off, and he's just pissed because I'm 19 years old and i drive a bright red bmw. I swear if I wasn't a young filipino driving a bmw, this would have never have happened, some cops are drunk with power. anyone else have similar stories? p.s. sorry to any cops in this or anyone that knows a cop, i don't mean all cops but some just abuse their power. | don't weave in and out of traffic~ there's enough bad drivers out there for them to get into accidents on their own. If you're doing stupid stuff and get caught, man up and deal with the consequences. Otherwise, don't do it. Or at least don't get caught doing it.

| Agreed, if you ask me sounds like the cop did his job perfectly. He gave you a warning with the honk and than you proceeded to yell at him and cut him off honestly what where you expecting to happen.

| OK, you all deserve tickets. Just because "everyones doin it" doesnt mean it is smart. I am sorry, but that was kind of a stupid comment.

| I got a ticket 2 weeks ago, for doing 80 in a 45. I was running late for work for the third day in a row. State trooper pulled me over, and gave me not one but two tickets. I'll readily admit I deserved the first one which was a $290 speeding ticket. I think the second one was totally uncalled for. It was for going an unreasonable speed! Isn't that what the first one was for? $400 I don't have. Speeding does have it's place, but I haven't been to a track in 2 years. |

| I admit, I speed. But I know the consequences. You can not really throw a fit. You could be in more trouble. 80 in a 45 is unreasonable. Leave earlier, or get there late lol. I would rather be there late, instead of not getting there at all.

Dood, I think that's double jeopardy; charging you for the same crime twice. You might be able to appeal that. |

| Yeah I don't know how that works. The judge may think it's excessive. Maybe not. I've had one really cool judge who let me off and then like four who were just jerks. Thanks for the advice. I may get a lawyer. |

| I do not see you getting any breaks. 80 in a 45 is pretty hefty. I am not trying to be a dick, but if I was the judge, you wouldnt get a break.
