wheel width for widebody

Are there any threads of what width wheels you need for a widebody, I couldnt find any so I figured I'd ask..I've been thinking about doing one but custom wheels cost alot of $$$ which is why i was wondering

M/A shaw sells a widebody kit but it's extremely expensive. There are others who go the custom route. But it all depends really on how wide you want your wheels to be. But if this isn't a show car I wouldn't go wider than 9 on the rear and 8.5 on the front.

thats what i was thinking cuz custom wheels=expensive and wide tires=expensive...i have a friend who spent 600 a pc. for wheels and then had to pay 535 a pc. for his rear tires..ouch!

$600 is expensive but it can get a lot more expensive that that. BBS LM's start a $700. CCW, Forgeline, Kinesis, all very nice looking custom wheels but plenty of money too.

yeah theres two other guys who have custom 20's on rear and 19's up front--on pontiac fieros-- and they paid well over a grand a wheel...not to mention one of em is runnin a 14in. tire...the cars look sick though
