| Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt the M50 an iron block, and the M52 an alloy block? Both have their advantages. Iron is great for boosting. Anyhow, you cannot really say "give me some numbers" without telling us some supporting mods, and how you will be set up. A stroker will spool a turbocharger at a faster rate, with a little lower rev potential. A stroker will provide more torque. A stroker defintely helps performance, but the cost is high. For that cost, you could always do other things. I would just stay with the M50 standard specs. But that is just my .02

| the kit by itself on a healthy motor will prob net 200 @ the wheels versus 185 on a 2.5. If this is the first mod to the car, don't waste your time. You need the right bolt ons first. An engine can only do so much before intake and exhaust mods need to be done for flow. There're a lot of cheaper toys out there that will get you more power and a LOT less down time. |

| Thanx for the reply Yeah I agree with both of you. But I don't think that stroking your motor would cause more wear. For one thing your rebuilding your motor, with new piston rings. If anything you have more low end torque so you might not have to rev as high. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong. But both of you should check it out. Zionsville Autosport: M50 2.8 Stroker Kit For $500 it's cheap. It might just be stock components from an m52 lightened and balanced, I don't know. It doesn't really give you a whole lot of info. Right now I have M3 cams, Big bore throttlebody, AFE intake, Supersprint Race exhaust, and a custom chip. I really should probably just go turbo, but funds are lacking and debt is growing. I just thought this was a pretty cool alternative that was pretty cheap, but It might not be worth it. With my set-up now I think I might net a tad over 200hp which would be pretty good. I might have like 180-185hp at the wheels right now. |

| By the time you have the engine machined, it wouldnt be worth it. If you want to turbo it, you might as well just wait to go into the motor. You dont want to go inside it twice. I would turbo it, and then add some lower compression pistons and such. The stroker setup wouldnt really cause more wear, but more power can be had for less. Just my .02

| Down the road, you could always go back and do this kit, if you so desired. I would just solidify the bottom end, leave the same displacement.
