| 95 m3 - good buy? well guys ive been looking for a car and i then found the m3 and omg i fell in love. i love the whole look and everything about it. and so i got to searching for one and i found a yellow 95 m3 with 70k miles on it for only 7.5k. the guy said hes replacing the window that is missing and is doing some engine tuning before he sells it and i told him i was very interested. The driver side window on it was broke so i guess it was broken into. i didnt look inside of it, just looked around the outside and it looked to be in pristine condition except for the window of course. im really hoping the inside is great and its a standard. but is this a good buy? even if it was broken into or just the window was broke? its being sold right next to my house so its really convenient.. btw im 16 and ive been driving for 2 years and my current car is a 91 f150 that ive had about 4 months and i drove a 06 chevy hhr for 4 months before that (so i can handle a faster car... it u even consider that fast! lol). but im a really conscious and careful driver and i know im not the best driver but im pretty good (better then my grandparents for sure..) no tickets or accidents, i was the best in my driver ed class (if it even matters..) and of course.. i cant drive a stick.. (ive driven one before though.. forgot how now though.) so just lmk on this one. my parents said it sounds good and i know i can afford it with my two jobs. i plan to pay about 175 a month on a 4 year loan through my mom. my dad/gparents will pay insurance and help on anything that breaks down. |

| im gonna say what everyone else on here is gonna say. your young.lol if you get the bmw checked out at a dealership or by someone that knows bmw's you should be fine as far as the car goes. i would with all my heart recommend a driver training course, im sure there are some in kansas. join bmwcca its 40 dollers a year, they will hook you up with others in your area as well as point you in the right direction as far as clubs, and maint, on the car.... there is a similar thread on another 95 M3 below this one. also go look at edge motorworks as they have a lot of info on buying and maint, 95 m3's..most 95's are 5speeds so again the drivers training would come into play.... good luck BMW CCA News | BMW Car Club of America

| Hey, I'm 16 too and I just bought my second bmw--my fourth car-- i'll be 17 tuesday but thats beside the point..anyway mines definately not an m3 but i didnt pay 7k for it either and i wont have a payment so thats kinda nice..anyway with me driving a standard was like riding a bike..my first car was a standard then i didnt drive one for about 4 or 5 months then got in a friends--older friends-- graduation present(infiniti g35) and it was a six speed and it was like i had never quit driving a standard even on a car i'd never even sat in so if youve ever been good at driving a standard you will not have lost that skill within the short time youve been driving..however if you just kinda know the general idea of a standard id tell you to definately consider the advice of the guy above me and take a course of some sort..or have someone with alot of patience who is good at driving a standard teach you(thats what i did) ![]() |
