| 95 M3 Hi DTMPower, I'm obviously new here. I've been researching about the 95 M3 because my neighbor has an Avus Blue M3 up for sale. I know that Avus Blue is exclusive to the 95 year. Does anyone know how many of this colored M3's were made? Also, the car only has 30,000 miles on the clock. Would it be necessary to change the spring retainers immediately? Lastly, is $12,000 a good price to pay for this 30k mile, clean titled, (rare?) colored, excellent condition M3? Thanks. | With only 30K miles $12,000 is an insane deal. Buy it immediately!! Most e36 M3s have over 100K on the clock these days.

| like previously stated, that is a good deal on an e36,m3.... i wouldnt replace the retainers on it, yet.....but i would have it checked out at a bmw dealership, or someone that has a lot of expertise with bmw's. join bmwcca, go read on bimmerforums,m3forums etc... this is a good deal if everything checks out.i dont know for sure how many were produced in that color. the book by jeremy walton=bmw 3series companion is a damn good book and worth everypenny.MY 1995 (M3) 5,806(includes 43lightweights and 1311 automatic M3's). my advice get the car checked out and do what edgemotorworks suggest for maitenance and buying...

| wow this is a great deal for that car! the valve retainers probably wouldn't need to be changed out anytime soon. My car went to 205,000 miles with no retainers problems. Plus a car like that should be going for way more then 12,000...make sure you get a PPI done before you buy the car. Goodluck! |

| Buy it. Simple as that. I am looking to spend 12k and most likely get one with 120k or so on the clock.

| yes everyone is right! buy it! its a great deal, just make sure thats its all in proper condition, the seller being your neighbour is a plus if you have a good relationship with him then id say it would be trust worthy
