HID ON US SPEC HEADLIGHTS??

hey everyone, i was just wondering can a HID kit be used on US SPEC headlights being as they are plastic rather then glass? because i think the plastic would melt but if they dont that would be great! let me know, Thanks!

HID bulbs generate less heat than halogen bulbs so I don't think it would melt.

They generate less heat on paper but when u touch the glass lens, its HOT!!!

It should be alright, If you want to be on the safe side, check how much distance between the bulb and the lens.

I did it on mine the other day... damn bright, and im worried that because the us spec lenses dont have the aiming lines in them like the euro ones that im going to have to aim them downwards... but the lenses dont seem to heat up at all when ive had them on, but my car is also currently in the air and i have not had them on for long periods of time. Ide say go for it. What brightness are you gunna get?
