I have had an E36 M3, I currently drive a E46 M3, but yet I still dream about owning an E30. So my vote goes for E30 M3

I was kinda stuck on what to base my vote on. I personnally love the E36 M3 because it basically ruled the 90s since its release with great style engine performance and handling right outa the box. But i based my vote on the technology put into performance of the vehicle and based on the new M3 engine platform i voted for the E92 but my hats off for the E30 M.

I vote for the 335i.....

BMW should have put an M badge on this car because it's sooooo sick !

I love all the M cars.... but in MY opinion my 335i still out performs most of the M cars out there today..... until the new one comes out.

Having a Fair amount of seat time in M cars and 335's on the Street/Track I would agree with you when you are talking about on the street. On Track the 335 really shows its weaknesses and the M cars really show why they are M cars. Not saying the 335 is not a very capable car, it just needs a little extra help on track. Just my $.02.

Very well said ALPINWEISSM3.....

I also agree that most 335's do show some weakness on the road course.... however I am a little bias because my 335 has the sport suspension, seats etc.... and does handle remarkably well compared to the 02 m3 I was driving.

My post was more out of frustration that BMW didn't put an M badge on this car... all though it does make a great sleeper for smoking rice on the streets the way it sits now.

I understand what you are saying. The 335 is one amazing car. Sounds like you have a pretty sweet one yourself and from the looks of it my favorite color.

As much as I love the E46 M3 ad the new M5 and M6 I love the E30 M3 because of it's simplicity. It is essentially all machine with little luxury and it is in my definition a purpose built machine. Obviously a car like this today is not practical because people demand luxuries for their money. It is as close as you can get to a race car on the street and I kind of admire that. I wouldn't buy an E30 though because I want some luxuries in my car which is why I would probably like to purchase a base or close to base model E46 M3.

Wow thanks for the comments guys!! Looks like most of you are judging from the heart unbiasedly. Even if you dont vote E30///M3, the reasons for posting differently are good well-thought out reasons.

Wow your e30 M3 looks amazing cleanazz!! That thing is sick. I think that the e30 M3 is the best drivers car hands down. It's handling can be compared to the lotus. The e36 M3 is the best value for your money. The e46 M3 is the best all around car combining driving spirit with luxury. The e92 M3 is best at being a super luxurious land yhat. Which is not a compliment. HAHA
