hi folks, just thought i would sign kinda thing. was trying last night but think ive sussed it now. hope i can be of help to others on the site but i think it might hopefully work the other way! always liked the old bmws so finally got myself a lock up and a 1986 528i manual e28 to go with it. solid underneath, bodyworks good so a sound start. just the usual electrics stuff ive read in my mags. a good few in fact! i work as a docker on flexi hours so should get the time to get the old scrapyard dodger back to what it should be. wont be long before im picking your brains being a bit new to the whole thing. got to prove to the better half i can do it too! anyway, glad to have joined, cheers, watty

aye thanks mariano;glad i joined as well. like the e30 too. used to have an 87 325 with sports auto n that was a great motor but messed up my licence so had to go! i hope thats your m3 in pic is it?

Indeed it is. Search for my name and Im sure youll see some thread of me bragging about new pics of my car hahahaha. Im very in love with it. And youre a smart man for letting go of the 325 for the trouble. I would never in my life sell my ///M3 even if it has been the culprit in my license being suspended countless times.

thanks for the welcome folks, yeah mariano, im still not back on the road yet but i couldnt help myself! had to get a lock up and an old bimmer to keep me going. its not good playing the waiting game is it? yeah i love the e28s too, was really after an m535i but the 528 came along and coudnt wait. it has about the same grunt as my e30 325 like, if i can get it 200 horse thatll do me nowadays. i noticed folk have also got photos so when we go to my lock up tonight i'll take couple and get the missus to post them as not too good at this pc carry on. im goin to end up with this finger looking like a cigar butt! havent touched the bodywork yet but shes not bad for 460 quid. have you seen the thing i posted on the e28 forum? bout the si board? would be handy if knew anything about it. im not writing it all out again coz it takes AGES. WELL id better get going for now though. any cool pics of your m3 and the e12 your dad had?
