New to the BMW scene

Sup guys, i'm new to the BMW scene. Trying to get a feel for all the codes and brands and such so bear with me. Also, having some firing problems, because the car stutters when trying to accelerate, thinking of upgrading the ignition right now, what would be a good route to go? Thanks,
