Should i join the darkside

I currently have an 02 M3 SMGII with under 40k miles and i'm really thinking about joining the darkside and getting a Benz C55 AMG any pros and cons, I don't know much about the c55's but after Bimmerfest i need a different car.

bmw's are generally just more fun to drive. I feel like I am a part of the bmw when i drive it, but when i drove an slk230 (not that faast but nice top end) it just felt like I had to work it a lot more before I felt comfortable driving it.

All of the above facts are def true but here is one undeniable fact...all c-classes (yes even the AMG models) are complete pieces of shit. Their quality is far below the rest of Mercedes already declining fit and finish. If anything I would tell you to look at an Audi S4 if your hell bent of getting away from BMW.

S4 or RS4 definitely. If you enjoy ANY type of driver feedback and want to continue true performance/luxury and not the other way around, Id stay with Audi, Porsche, BMW. Merc is universally known as the softer old-man half-ass performance car. Its all nice when you stuff V-8's with forced induction in a car thats only offered in auto.

Besides from being absolute garbage when forced into turns, the AMG cars are QUITE capable at going and stopping. The 5.4 ltr AMG motor is a pure beast, especially s/ced. If you want a grocery getter and don't really care about how fun a car is, get a benz, but I'l call you a pansy.

The c55's engine is NA, they never stuck the supercharger on it.

what do you mean turf, a benz is still dtm. I wasn't aware that i was "bent" out of shape. Also since when can't an amg handle? I know it won't handle as well as my current m3 but i'm sure it's no slouch. I've driven a S4 and i'm not in love with the interior. A z06 isn't practical for me nor do i want one. I've owned an E46 for 5 years now it's getting old not to mention half of that time it was sitting in a car port when i had my is300 and a4 across the country. It looks like i'm kind of leaning towards keeping my m3 and putting an exhaust on it, i currently have 3 in mind. Last night i had my car towed down to the tire place new tires in 5 hours . My local track season should be starting soon as well.


Painted reflectors are being shipped too, i know it looks bad.

Theres nothing to say that mercedes can't handle or perform; they're damn fast cars, and will hold the blacktop when dished out. But my whole beef with mercedes is that I can't feel everthing that's going on, I cant feel exactly where the car is, how much power to dish it, or how much power is left, and that makes me constantly asking people in the car how I'm doing. Which isn't how I like to drive. It just depends on your style
