aftermarket garage/gate openers for cars...

does anyone out there know if there are garage openers for cars being sold out there?...[ you know like the ones that come stock on new cars? ] please let me know if there is such thing and where to get one cuz i'm tired of having 3 remotes in my car...thanks...

Don't know if there is one available for the E36 but I know you can buy the universal remote transmitter for E46 vehicles separately and just install it since the car is pre-wired for one.

I suggest making one. My car is kind of dirty in the below picture, but if you look next to the headlight knob you'll see 2 buttons. One is the stock fog light button, the bottom one is my garage door opener. I opened the case for my garage door and soldered a Radio Shack button to it. I then dremeled a hole below my fog light button. I then packaged everything up and installed it. Now my E36 M3 has a garage door button installed, no more need to carry a garage door opener.

You can usually buy programmable ones at Sears.

i looked at sears all they have is a single universal one that programs the garage opener...i want one with multiple buttons for multiple garage...

You should be able to find one with multiple buttons. Each one can be set to a different garage.
