What ECU do I have??

Can I using the vin # for the car find out what ECU (402, 405??) belongs in my car....
The current ECU is a refurbished (previous owner) from some place called ProgRama and has a sticker on the outside of the unit that says:

402
0-261-200-402
12-14-1-744-859

How ever the chip itself inside the ECU has the following #'s

1-740-352
1-267-357-951

I was trying to buy a performance chip for the car and the guy with the chip said the numbers on the chip were for a 405 ECU...

I have no idea what ECU is in this car... Please help
