Engine Oil , 10/40 or 5/40?

Hi,,,,

any one can advise which the best oil for my engine M44 1.9L 1998/1997

Is it 10/40 simi syntactic
or
Is it 5/40 fully syntactic ?

i used to use the 10/40 simi syntactic but some ppl advise me that i have to use the 5/40 fully syntactic, i need an advise for someone who can give me the right and correct information...
